Cllr Glyn Galbraith - He really was one of the very best of human beings.
As some one who has known and worked with Cllr Glyn Galbraith, who passed away so tragically on 14 February, I should like to say a few words in remembrance of all the hard work he put in for the community.
In Glyn's case it does not do justice to describe him as industrious, caring and efficient. He did so much more and to a very high degree of competency, never turning anything away and was the best of team players you would wish to have on your side.
He took meticulous care and dealt with any concerns of his constituents always doing his best to help the person or the family in need. In discussions he had the ability to bring calmness to the proceedings and where as others might be happy with their own contributions, Glyn very often may also have been taking the notes.
Having served with him as a colleague on Wycombe District Council I saw his immense enthusiasm, commitment, humanity and feelings for the people of Wycombe. Consequently, he was involved with a number of outside organisations, apart from his own job and that of Leader of the Labour Group on Wycombe District Council. He showed great interest in the work of the Muslim Parents Association's and in particular in the MPA's campaign for reducing the significant gap, in levels of educational achievements, which exists between the mainstream and Pakistani heritage pupils in High Wycombe and attended many of the MPA's meetings as an associate member.
On a personal level he was calm, level headed, a good friend who would offer to help in any way he could and thus apart from his own family he would be sorely missed by all who knew him. May God bless his soul and give Barbara, Paul and Laura and the rest of his family the strength and the will to carry on, with his fond memories. He really was one of the very best of human beings.

THE family of the Labour leader on Wycombe Council who died just yards from his home on Saturday have paid tribute to "a truly great man".
Councillor Glyn Galbraith, 54, a father of two, is believed to have suffered a heart attack at around 9.30am as he neared his home in Keep Hill Drive, High Wycombe.
He had been on a morning run with long-standing friend Councillor Trevor Snaith.
In a statement his son Paul said: "In writing this, I feel that it is only appropriate that our views are expressed in an area used often by my dad for one of his favourite pastimes - Tory bashing!
"In seriousness however, this sudden loss has left us devastated and in shock. We feel robbed of a man who had so much to live for and to give, and as many people have said it is not just us, his family that will be worse off.
"The other areas which he touched, from the council to his work will lose in our view a truly great man.
"We have been touched by the large number of tributes paid to our dad, and although we knew he was special it is moving to see so many others shared our view. To us, he was just dad.
" The man you went for a pint with, to the shops with or for a walk in the park. To see the amount of peoples lives he has affected has given us a great deal of comfort in these difficult times.
"Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to thank those that have helped us since his passing. Your help and support will not be forgotten.
"We would also like to thank the two gentlemen and the ambulance services that fought to prolong my dad's life.
"He may be gone but he will never be forgotten by us."
